As a North Georgia native, Chris lives in Dawsonville with his wife Teresa and their five sons. After graduating high school, Chris served in the United States Navy, serving overseas during Operation "Desert Storm." After two tours on active duty, Chris joined the United States Naval Reserve while he attended college. During his academic career, however, Chris was activated and again deployed overseas to serve his country during Operation "Iraqi Freedom." He later returned to college and graduated Cum Laude, earning a degree in Political Science/Pre-Law from North Georgia College and State University. He next earned his law degree from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia. As a licensed attorney, Chris provides representation to our clients in divorces (contested and uncontested), child custody, visitation, and child support; alimony and spousal support; modification of child support, custody, visitation, and alimony; legitimation and paternity actions; post divorce issues; grandparent and third party custody/visitation; custody matters involving the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act; Juvenile Court matters and probate matters such as wills, living wills and durable power of attorney. Chris also practices criminal defense law.
As a licensed mediator and arbitrator, Chris specializes in Domestic Relations, Parenting Coordination, Domestic Violence, and General/Civil issues. Chris is also an experienced Guardian Ad Litem with the Northeastern Judicial Circuit Guardian Ad Litem Program.
